Hello, I have a query. I'm using an AM4 setup with a Ryzen 9 5950X, 32GB RAM, X570 Taichi, and RX 7900 XTX. I'm considering upgrading to the Ryzen 7000 series. Since I mainly play games and do light video editing, I want to know if it's beneficial. My current machine runs FPS games at high or ultra settings, sometimes lowering the settings for better visibility. Thanks for your advice. Peace.

Rejecting the request. Your scenario is limited to high-gpu constraints, particularly for Call of Duty. Upgrades aren't feasible at the moment, so it's best to pause any thinking about them.

5950x may hold up for several years, but for improved gaming speed, it's recommended to upgrade to 5800x3d.

I am on a 3080 and a 5900x and i run whatever games i want and happy with the results. The itch to build a new shiny is there but i am going to skip this generation of CPU and GPU as I see no reason to bother with dumping perfectly adeqaute performing hardware for a small improvement to what my eyes actually see on the screen. At a solid 60fps for me jumping to 90 fps or higher is not going to make me better or having a CPU that can rip a bluray in 40% less time is redundant as I have no more blurays and the webpage or streaming services I use will not be improved at all. Anyways...by the time I personally have saved the money to ugrade the next gen will be upon us

Thank you for the answer. You're correct, and issues with the new platform, DDR5, etc. I received an RX 7900 XT because I had the RX 6900 XT left over.

I'm facing the same issue, but even more constrained by GPU limits at ultrawide 1440p. Upgrading the CPU to a 7950X D or 13900K shouldn't make a difference, and a CPU bottleneck won't appear unless you use a 4090.

Great to know! The GTX 4090 is a powerful GPU. Based on this, I won’t upgrade the CPU. It’s not worth it—new platforms come with issues.
