Hello, I was planning to upgrade my PC until I discovered on pcpartpicker.com that the new CPU requires a BIOS update for it to function properly. I’m wondering whether I should install the BIOS first or install the new CPU and then update the BIOS. Should I use the latest BIOS version or stick with the one that’s compatible? My motherboard is an MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI. Thanks.

I completed the BIOS updates first, then installed the new CPU. It worked with flash as well.
I upgraded from a 3600x to a 5900x and experienced no issues after the new BIOS was applied.

In the US, the cost of a 5700X is $7 more than a 5600X.

It's great, since I'm not from the US and our nation didn't offer much freedom for online shopping such as Amazon and similar services.
