Upgrade details for Mothrboard

He should definitely upgrade his motherboard. His current rig runs at 80-90 dollars for a new GPU, and the prices can be a bit higher in Greece. The Aorus B450 M R1 and Aorus Prime A320M Gaming are solid options to consider.

If its working.... there is no reason to upgrade at all. Motherboards don't increase performance at all. That mobo should have no issue running a r5 1500x, thus no reason to upgrade at all.

He should accumulate a bit more and choose a motherboard that truly improves performance. I’d opt for something like the MSI B450M-PRO VDH Max, or better yet, a B450-A PRO Max.

Are you certain? A 50 dollar motherboard might not support very high VRM values.

If it isn't overclocking and you're running at 1500X, it should work fine. You can check the VRM temperatures in HWinfo; if they're high, it could be a worry, though I doubt it.

They don't perform very well... however, it's still an R5 1500x. It uses a 65-watt chip, which means it isn't consuming a lot of power. The VRM setup is more than sufficient for that component.

Unless a future CPU upgrade is scheduled, I wouldn't feel the need to spend money on something that seems unnecessary. Even in that case, I'd still suggest a B550 board.
