I’ve been looking to enhance the i3-2120 in my ThinkCentre for a while. I managed to locate the i7-2600 at a low price, though it’s not included in the Lenovo support guide—only the original components are listed. Will this model work with the H61 chipset? I intend to upgrade the power supply and install a cooler, since the current 140W PSU and stock cooler aren’t sufficient.

It wouldn't be the best choice to use an i7 2600 in a 140W setup. The system is usually sold with T-series processors that are less powerful than their non-T alternatives.

I plan to purchase a fresh PSU next week, which will be a 500W unit. In the meantime, the CPU will remain on the shelf.

I can tell you the specific PSU model once we have more details about the system.
