Upgrading to the A10-5800K with a GT 1030 would likely improve performance. The difference may be noticeable, especially for gaming and multitasking. Upgrading the GT 1030 is probably worthwhile. A 240GB Kingston SSD could offer better boot speeds compared to your 1TB 7200RPM Barracuda drive.

The differences are minimal. There’s a slight frequency boost, yet the chips are essentially the same. It’s not about swapping from a 5-core to a 7-core processor like moving from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a 7th-gen X. Instead, it’s mainly about higher frequency and increased TDP. Probably not a good investment unless you’re open to changing platforms. Any modern Ryzen would outperform those outdated Bulldozer models.

Realistically, I wouldn’t bother. Upgrading to a Ryzen would be a good idea, and even a basic modern Ryzen 3 would offer significant improvements.
