Hello. I installed Windows 8.1 Standard N previously, intending to purchase a key from Reddit later. Now I have a key for Windows 8.1 Pro non-N, but it won’t work for my version. Can I upgrade Windows without reinstalling it using the key? Thank you.

Have you explored Windows Anytime Upgrade? Or press the Add More Features button?

It's referred to as "Add Features to Windows 8" rather than what Windows 7 offered. The keys don't seem to function there, though. It appears to be a school copy if that's relevant.

Might need to contact Microsoft to enable via phone, as I did for my other device since the key was issued in a different area.

You’re using Win8.1 Core N and need to upgrade to Win 8.1 Pro N without reinstalling. However, since you have the regular Win8.1 Pro without the N upgrade, you’ll need to perform a full installation.
