I'm preparing to enhance my pre-built ASUS PC's motherboard (ASUS M32AD), power supply, and graphics card. I feel confident about upgrading the PSU and video card since I successfully upgraded a 750 Ti before without issues. Regarding the motherboard swap, I'm concerned about compatibility with an ASUS H97 Pro Gamer if Windows 8.1 doesn't recognize its license. Most people say you'll need a fresh Windows 8.1 installation, though some suggest it might be possible to swap boards and install drivers later.

I've got a setup with a ready-made PC but no included software or an OEM Windows installation disc.

I've needed to access it several times to retrieve keys from the BIOS. This happens because companies like Dell employ SLIC tables in their BIOS, storing the key information there.

I found similar issues online, but the magic jelly bean keyfinder fails when changing PCs with pre-built motherboards since the COA is already built into them. Reinstalling on the same board avoids this problem.
