The H310M CPU isn't compatible with the B450 motherboard. You'd have to purchase an AMD processor for that board.

If both boards are mATX models, they should fit. The "m" in "ASRock b450 pro4 m" confirms it's designed for mATX, which means it should work. If your new board is a standard ATX, it might function, as long as your case supports them. Standard ATX boards are simply larger, so if there’s some extra space at the bottom and enough clearance for screws (about three fingers’ width), your case should accommodate regular ATX models too.

It isn't necessary to install standoffs at every screw hole. Aim for two or three on the edges of the motherboard, ensuring the board stays centered when screws are tightened. Place standoffs in areas that experience downward force, such as near the PCI-e slot used by graphics cards or close to the 24-pin connector. This helps minimize bending or flexing during card insertion or connector placement. For the 24-pin connector, a practical solution is to slide a finger under the circuit board where the connector sits while pressing down on it—your finger stops unwanted movement and secures the connector once locked in place. Standoffs and screws at the bottom of the board are often omitted in computers due to lighter components, reducing the risk of significant bending. If you're concerned, you can improvise by cutting plastic spacers from a ballpoint pen or folding paper to the right thickness and inserting them under the motherboard where standoffs should be.
