I bought this motherboard along with the CPU, but I’m having trouble finding an update method. It’s unusual since many other boards can be updated simply by using USB and pressing a button.
Not all systems support updates. Some boards need a compatible CPU to work properly.
You shouldn't. That motherboard can't be updated to BIOS flashback without a processor. Your choices are:
- locate someone with an older Ryzen and request a loan
- visit the store where you purchased the board/processor and ask them to upgrade it for you
