Looking for ways to bring Windows 10 back to a cleaner state without a CD, just having an old Windows 7 Pro disc. Want to keep your files safe. Someone has a suggestion?

You may need to restore Windows 10 because it has become outdated, unstable, or incompatible with your current hardware and software needs.

Use Windows 10’s native recovery tool. It appears in the Settings menu under Advanced settings.

It seems there have been recent issues with loading through malwarebytes, and there are no viruses detected so far. I think the problem might be that the updates are bloating itself to a limit.

I notice the CPU usage stays around 85% most of the time. Please confirm. If yes, proceed with the rootkit scan using TDSSkiller and ASWmbr. If no threats detected, install AdwCleaner and run a full scan.

@Vinzie Nope keep those rare spikes I usually stay under 15% on average. Often slows down when the CPU runs at a lower clock speed. It seems it doesn’t need to work even at its regular speed, let alone turbo mode. It rarely goes above 30% unless you’re under heavy gaming load. Under heavy load it does increase, but I understand why.

They should test it once the payday comes. I saw it’s been occurring for a few hours now. It was only seen with Discord and a chat window open in Chrome.

Sure, I also mentioned what to do regarding the scan of your computer in my previous message. It goes into more detail than I initially said.
