Hi, in previous discussions I mentioned removing the CPU, graphics card, SSD, RAM, and possibly the Wi-Fi card from my Dell G5 5090 prebuilt. That means the Motherboard, power supply, and case remain. I’m considering passing these components to my big sister, who plans to buy affordable replacements so she can build a budget gaming PC. The original model came with an i7-9700K processor, which uses the LGA 1151 chipset. Since she’s getting a prebuilt unit, it usually has very specific, proprietary parts, so I’m wondering if installing an i3-9100F CPU would fit properly—would it work with the PSU and socket, or would there be compatibility issues? Also, regarding RAM, the original had 2666 MHz DDR4 memory. Would it be possible to use standard 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM from sources like this link: https://amzn.to/3rS9baq? Thanks for your advice.

Check the PSU specifications to confirm the power range it supports. If you have a smaller power supply, avoid CPUs with higher TDP ratings than 65W. According to Dell resources, these guidelines apply.

Was das gleiche, mit 9400 statt 9700k, ursprünglich mit einem 1x8-GB SSD und einer weiteren identischen Einheit ausgestattet. Entfernte den RTX 2060, setzte 1650s ein. Lass die schlechte RAM im Dell übrig.
