Updating BIOS using MSI B550 Tomahawk flash.
Just built a PC using this motherboard and a Ryzen 5 5600x. After starting it up, I get no display and the CPU EZ debug LED is lit. I've assumed that the issue is most likely that the BIOS is not updated for this CPU as I bought this motherboard in early October last year. I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to update the bios using the BIOS Flash feature that is apart of MSI motherboards. I've attempted multiple different flashdrives (USB 2.0 and 3.0) and followed all the steps exactly, but no luck so far. Everytime, the red LED to show the flash is in process starts blinking at a constant speed for what seems like indefinitely (the longest I've let it go was around 2 hours) with no response from the flashdrive LED. I've read from a lot of people that the flashdrive that is used seems to matter a lot but it doesn't seem like anyone knows what exactly works. Does anyone here have a clue or some possible advice?
You should try flashing off a cleanly formatted USB, and dont interrupt it AT ALL. Its possible that youve bricked it by basically stopping it for the first time, but its worth the shot. Also read the instruction on that specific board.
