Sure thing! I just got a MikroTik RouterBoard 1100AH and I'm not into the MikroTik OS. I was curious about flashing it. I prefer pFsense since it works well, but I think it might not support MIPS architecture. Are there other operating systems you'd recommend? Any ideas on how to run pFsense on this router without using the OS? I want to take advantage of its features but avoid the software.

You're right, installing OSes like Pfsense or others isn't possible on a routerboard except for OpenWRT. It really depends on the chipset. RouterOS is more capable but can be less user-friendly through the GUI. What aspects of it do you find problematic?

The main alternative firmware for Mikrotik devices I know is OpenWRT. Their website doesn’t show this specific model in their database.
