Hello! I recently assembled my first PC and am facing some difficulties. The local tech shop is unable to resolve the problem, and I'm feeling quite frustrated. I've been following your videos for several years now and finally managed to save enough money to build my own machine. It performed well for the first couple of weeks until it began restarting on its own.
PC Specifications:
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B550
- CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X
- GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 Ti
- OC: 8GB RAM
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2 x 8GB
- Storage: Western Digital 1TB NVMe
- Power Supply: Corsair CX750F RGB 80 Plus Bronze
- Operating System: Windows 11 Home
I've followed these steps so far:
1. Verified no overclocking was done.
2. Checked Event Viewer for kernel errors.
3. Performed a clean OS wipe and fresh installation.
4. Updated BIOS and reset the system.
5. Disassembled and rebuilt the components.
6. Removed the battery for about four hours before the issue returned.
7. Temperatures stayed within normal range (around 62°C).
Recently, I visited a tech shop who performed similar fixes and confirmed it worked. They said the issue was resolved, but when I brought it back in a day later, it kept happening. They inspected everything and found no faults. I'm at a loss and would really appreciate any help you can offer.
Also, please note that I need to keep the front panel off due to poor airflow in this case.
Initially, Corsair RAM is experiencing problems, particularly with Ryzen models. It's important to compare your motherboard’s QVL lists against the ones you installed—my setup supports Crucial 3200 up to 16GB, after that it only goes up to 2666. I’ve faced repeated POST failures and no video on boot every few starts since my build in March 2022. After replacing the RAM, GPU, and moving the GPU with a riser cable, I double-checked all connections, plugged in/unplugged the HDMI, swapped ports, and even tested with another monitor. The DRAM indicator stayed orange. Both sticks passed testing with MT86, and I captured footage showing the debug lights during startup. Apart from the occasional POST hiccup or missing video, the system operates smoothly otherwise.
