Hey there! I just switched my CPU from a 10400 to a 10700 and noticed some changes in performance. I'm seeing around 6k on Cinabench and 3800 on Heaven. My motherboard is a 3080 FE with B460 MDS3H, and I have 32GB of RAM. The BIOS version is f5c, everything auto-configures, CPU temps stay under 60°C, and I'm still having trouble figuring out what's causing the difference since my 10400 was doing better. Any tips would be super helpful! Thanks.

The BIOS was just updated to the latest version but it hasn't changed yet. You're missing XMP options, which might affect performance. Your RAM is set at 2400, could that be causing the issue? Consider checking for other settings or contacting support for further help.

Have you checked if your CPU supports 4.8 GHz or close? You’ll need tools like HWinfo64 to track each core’s speed during testing. For a simple check, open Task Manager on Windows and visit https://silver.urih.com/, then run a benchmark. It seems comparable to cinabench. Your PC listed 4.48 GHz, but your OC is set to 4.5 for thermal/noise reasons—this gives a quick idea of performance relative to specs.

Your configuration limiting to 90W further supports this idea.

You can test it by pointing a fan at the VRM directly to observe the effect. Spending this much on that platform isn't worth it compared to other boards that deliver 100+ V very fast. At that stage, it's probably best to sell the 10700 and upgrade to new Ryzen AM4 models for similar performance at a lower cost.
