It's really surprising how difficult this game is for my computer, even with a Ryzen 7 1800X and 32GB RAM. I thought I'd enjoy it, but now it feels so frustrating. Did you notice the poor optimization? It seems like something more than just a simple setting issue.
The benefit of collecting funds beforehand is that you avoid concerns about who will be able to participate or purchase it.
Well, I'm uncertain about its success, but on paper it aimed to review numerous items on a gamer's wish list (at least some gamers), possibly even from pre-internet gaming times. It's meant to be a space simulation, RPG, FPS, and massive multiplayer experience. The trust in the creator adds to its appeal. Naturally, the big challenge could come from high hardware demands. Those who got early access are split between letdowns and hope for what they see. Regardless, those not emotionally attached can simply observe how it unfolds.
It should be fixed, can you confirm? Nothing has ever worked properly for me since they changed the forums to the new style. They don’t, but it was always meant to be the next major update. I remember no one could run it well at launch. Still in Alpha, the game appreciates more cores—my first experience with something that loves 8 cores. I can play it smoothly on my 4690k, though I get frame spikes during intense moments. An i7 would run perfectly. It helps that they record everything for bug tracking so issues can be replicated. Optimization is coming soon, but based on how the game looks and its future VR support, I’m confident in this release. Because we had a main thread that excelled in PC gaming, Slick organized regular meetups every week. Most of us now gather on Discord since the forums lack a chat option, plus other factors. Not exactly the same vibe. No Mans Sky suffered from poor information, but SC has 4–5 YouTube videos per week. No Mans Sky was an incomplete project, whereas SC must be polished for launch. Chris Roberts emphasized it needs to match an E3 release quality that Bethesda or Ubisoft typically delivers. I’m willing to wait since I already have access and can follow its development.
Still the same. Just a note, you can try your hand by scrolling all the way to the bottom and switching to dark mode (just switch back when you're done). The most amusing thing is that the game was supported back in 2012. Now it's 2017—hardware is getting outdated, and the release is still years away. So a citizen from 2012 is really committing to upgrade their setup too. They can't even run the game they backed so long ago.
Thanks, the text is automatically adjusted so I’m not sure why it’s shifting. I agree with your perspective, but they kept promising to go ahead two or three generations earlier than planned—it just makes me want to upgrade. They always mentioned wanting to be the next big thing in the industry, and I recall only one friend managing to run it at launch. So, did we actually achieve our goal?
