Updated Router - Internet Performance
You seem to have a new router and were surprised by the drop in speed. It’s normal for performance to vary depending on network conditions and device usage. Since you haven’t adjusted any settings, check your connection to the 5G channel—ensure it’s stable and not congested. Also, try restarting the router or your phone to refresh the signal. If the issue persists, consider checking for firmware updates or contacting TP Link support for further assistance.
Signal quality? A real speed test needs just one device linked to the router. Even idle PCs can send data if the connection is weak. Your ISP might also be causing delays during the test.
You mean the signal strength for both the iPhone and the router? I'm not sure which device you're referring to, honestly.
No one has any suggestions. It's really confusing. On the first day it works perfectly, but the next day speeds drop significantly. I haven't added anything else to the router and haven't adjusted any settings. Restarting doesn't help either. The 5G connection behaves almost like the regular 2.4G network, just slightly faster.
your wi-fi signal coming from the router to your device is similar to how close your iphone is, affecting the speed you receive.
