I'm checking which routers support a One Gig internet connection before buying a new Watchguard. SSL 500 is a solid choice—does it work with Gigabit? I’ve considered the x550e, x750e, and x1250e, as well as the XTM 510 and 515.

Consider trying the Fortigate 30e for around $300. There’s no need to switch to PF-Sense or WatchGuard unless there’s a specific reason.

PfSense is an excellent router solution, and it performs well with Watchguard firewalls, which are affordable on eBay—about one-third the cost of Fortigate devices.
