In your Steam library, turn off Intro Movies. In Dying Light, right-click on Dying Light, choose ‘Properties’, then ‘Set Launch Options’. Enter ‘-nologos’ in the box and click OK. Remove Film Grain by using a file archiver such as 7-Zip. Locate ‘Data0.pak’ in \Steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light\DW. Inside Data0.pak, navigate to the ‘data’ folder then ‘scripts’ folder. Find ‘varlist_noise.scr’ and move it to ‘Documents\DyingLight\out\data\scripts’. Open the file with Notepad or another text editor. Locate the line ‘VarFloat (“f_noise”, 0.15)’ and replace ‘0.15’ with ‘0’. Repeat for ‘varlist_performance.scr’, changing ‘1’ to ‘0’. For better performance, you can use the manager if you prefer not to adjust settings manually.

I don’t face performance problems, yet I’m drawn to the thought of avoiding film grain. I’m hoping the editing process won’t lead to any complications.
