He’s looking at a budget PC setup for gaming, video editing, and rendering. I’m thinking around $1000 for just the tower. He mentioned an Intel R7 1700 or R5 2600, 2.5 GB LPDDR5 RAM, and a B450 Aorus Pro with Wi-Fi and GTX1660 Super. He wants 4TB NVMe SSD, a 620W PSU, and a Gigabyte Trident Z RGB 2×8GB RAM at 3200MHz. He’s open to a good case with airflow and cooling solutions. For the CPU, more cores help with rendering. The GPU should be a solid option for his workload. He needs Wi-Fi connectivity and decent cooling—maybe a larger heatsink instead of an AIO. Storage-wise, 4TB is solid but consider NVMe if possible. Any tweaks or recommendations would be great! the gaming r5 3600 offers a significant upgrade even for video editing. the new zen 2 cores outperform the r7 1700 from the first gen ryzen cpu. for a more affordable option, consider models priced at 2700 or 2600. otherwise, this configuration looks solid! the gpu and ram fit well within this budget. before purchasing the 3600, verify if your motherboard supports a ryan 3rd gen cpu (some b450 boards don’t). if not, you might need to update the bios if available.

It makes sense. Could target 3600 if funds permit. Otherwise, perhaps stick with 2600.

In contrast to the cost of the 3600, the 2700 offers better value and indeed focuses more on rendering and editing. Gaming remains an optional addition. I’m avoiding RTX right now because the technology is still emerging; the next generation could be more valuable. A $1200 GPU feels excessive. We require greater competition to bring prices down. The lower price of the 1660super paired with GHDDR6 might be a smarter choice than the 1660ti with GHDDR5. You understand what makes Nvidia so complicated?
