I own a 3070ti with an intel 7-9700k and believe I need a new motherboard. The problem started after I placed the order, and it’s been ongoing. My previous board was an ASROCK B365M Pro4-F, but I can’t even access my BIOS anymore—it keeps crashing, which is concerning for my setup. I spent around $80 on that board, so I’m unsure if it was worth it. Any suggestions on what to get instead would be appreciated. It uses an LGA 1151 socket for Intel.

Check online marketplaces and used stores to find affordable options. LGA 1151v2 boards are no longer produced, making new ones hard to find at reasonable prices. The second-hand scene varies widely—you could end up with an MSI Z390-A Pro or a Maximus XI Apex. It’s important to assess what you can obtain and decide based on your needs.

It seems the issue isn't with your motherboard itself, but likely near it.

Since you have nothing to lose with that board i reccomend taking it out (everything disconnected), take off heatsinks and cmos battery, then press powerbutton + clr cmos for 2 mins, then give it a rinse in water making sure everything gets drenched, then proceed to dunk in a bucket of water or dishwasher (never tried the dishwasher cause dont have one) no detergent or anything just pure water, then let it dry for 2 days If it is the board being faulty that should fix your issues

Individuals continuously attempt to assist me, yet they often struggle to understand the problem I'm facing. It's been a long-standing issue, always the same thing I keep thinking about.

Consider focusing on a more recent CPU model for better performance. Recommended options include the latest Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 series, depending on your specific needs and budget.

It depends on local availability and costs. A new board around $50-100 could be worthwhile, but a fresh platform investment isn't necessarily bad. Using a used R5 5600 with B450/B550 boards might cost about $150-200 total if you're buying secondhand—closer to $250 if you need replacements, but you can save by using existing RAM. Around 9700Ks are still available for roughly $150-200, so you might actually save money this way.

This board could be a good fit. You mentioned having a kraken, which suggests you're looking for RGB capabilities, and the link points to a compatible motherboard.

The system could function properly, but the cost for the board exceeds what I'm comfortable suggesting.
