I just put in a new GPU and riser card into my PC. The details are: EVGA RTX 2060 SC, 550GA plus adapter, for HP prebuilt EZDIY-FAB 20cm 3.0 with 16x straight connector riser card, HP Elite 8300 SFF. While setting it up I faced several issues: 1) Powering on the PC wouldn’t activate peripherals and it would restart after ten seconds; 2) HDMI signal would cut out and then fail to restore; 3) The system would load Windows but stutter, freeze, then crash; 4) It would reach the desktop, stutter again, and freeze eventually; 5) During driver updates, the GPU would stop sending signals and never recover. I tried several fixes: uninstalling and reinstalling drivers with DDU, using an older driver from 2021, updating BIOS to the latest version, resetting Windows, and even crying. TLDR: The PC usually starts with heavy stutters, freezes, and needs a restart. Sometimes I can see RTX 2060 in Task Manager, but it crashes after a few hours. If it works for five hours and I can open Chrome, Steam, CSGO, War Thunder, download updates, and play games without shutting down, it’s likely a hardware or driver problem. Thanks for helping!

I've checked previous setups—this configuration isn't brand new. The PSU, GPU, and riser components are standard additions, not previously used together.

The machines functioned properly with a Gigabyte Gt1030 GDDR5 unit. This was noted without any riser cable being used.
