I've faced this problem since November after installing new drivers. On my main monitor the native resolution jumps to 1024x768, while the second monitor works fine. I've tested various cables and settings—forced a 2560x1440 display, updated Windows updates, and tried optional drivers, but nothing helps. Only using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) resolves it. After a restart, Windows downloads version 472.12 and the resolution is fixed. However, when I download drivers from a website and perform a clean install, the issue reappears.

System specs: Intel i7-10700K (no overclock), ASRock Z490 Taichi, G.Skill Trident Z (2x16GB), DDR4 3600MHz, GIGABYTE RTX 3060 12GB, Gaming OC SSD (Western Digital Blue 1TB), boot drive, and Western Digital Black SN750 1TB in RAID. OS is Windows 11 Home 22H2.

Other recent fixes: ASRock RGB error (0xfffb) pops on startup (resolved with beta 2.0.130), Steam glitches during Hogwarts Legacy unpacking (blue screens like "ATTEMPTED EXECUTE OF NO EXECUTE MEMORY" and "irql_not_less_or_equal"), which fixed by disabling overclock in BIOS.

It seems you've found another solution that works but might be frustrating. I had a similar issue with a 12700 as well.

It's frustrating, but the older drivers seem to function well. If I can't find a solution, I might have to erase my boot drive and start over to test if it works.

I considered purchasing that game. I tend to spend a lot of time on games, which makes completionism a challenge for me. I haven’t fully finished playing Tina yet, and I’m still getting into RDR2, which I think will be a slow process. Do you enjoy it? Edited February 11, 2023 by Bombastinator
