Updated desktop mouse and keyboard responsiveness. Installed new RAM, replaced old HDD.
I transferred my old HDD to my brother after getting a new NVMe storage device. The computer functioned properly until I installed the new drive. The RAM was brand new, though it cost around thirty dollars for a DDR3 module (it's an older machine). Sometimes when I typed, the mouse or keyboard would lag, or press keys multiple times instead of once. This made it hard to move around the desktop. The RAM has been stable up until now (though that might be the issue). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMLTB9P9?psc...ct_details That's the RAM I have. The HDD is a WD Black 3.5". One thought is that while downloading WoW, the PC might have struggled, but that shouldn't affect desktop navigation much. Appreciate any advice.
I didn’t do anything. The Windows was set up on a different SSD, which I don’t think matters much but I haven’t turned it on yet. I have the key, though I forgot to bring it with me. That’s all I can remember. Maybe I should consider getting more RAM instead of spending money. He has an old AMD Vishara chip; the memory worked but I’m not sure.
