Use the W10 installation media to fix the operating system. Your personal data remains safe, and all your apps stay intact. Only the essential Windows files are replaced. What others might be doing could be confusing.

This suggests the issue isn't resolved by any settings change except a full reset. Trying to launch Startup Repair didn't fix the problem, as it reported failure.

You're referring to the W10 USB drive used to install Windows. It's helpful for fixing the operating system. You mentioned it's useful regardless of your method, but working with the installation media is simpler. Are you following along?

Could you provide a link to that? I used a Windows 10 USB to reach the menu. Without a USB, I’m stuck, not even for you.

The system restore point isn't functioning either. It seems the operating system is likely corrupted—maybe a fresh installation is needed. However, your current Windows files are saved in a file named 'windows old,' so personal data and games should remain intact. Some applications can still run from this backup file, which I found quite useful.
