MB: I switched to the ASUS HERO XI model and reduced the BIOS version from 1302 to 602. Now I can't start the system because this BIOS doesn't match my CPU. (9900K) I’m not sure Flashback will work—its light stays on for five seconds before turning off. Can I still back up my motherboard without updating the BIOS chip or rewriting it? Thanks ahead.

The Maximus XI Hero supports BIOS Flashback. Ensure the desired BIOS file is located on the root of the USB flash drive, uses the proper name, and the drive must be FAT32, not NTFS or exFAT.

The issue is that the button I need to press for 3 seconds stops responding after about 5 seconds. Have you found a fix? I tested four different USBs, but none worked.

Yes, I confirmed both details. The drive is formatted in FAT32, and the BIOS file has been updated with the correct BIOS Flashback executable included.

Locate a device with a Celeron or Pentium processor that fits your socket and launch the system once more. There must be someone who can do this.
