Mobiles with bios flashback for AM4 boards let you upgrade the BIOS without changing the CPU or RAM. This applies to certain Intel boards as well. Unfortunately, your model doesn’t fit those options, so you’ll need a CPU to perform the BIOS update.

For boards without a bios flashback feature, others do exist. However, you mentioned it seems unattainable.
