After installing the Windows 11 24H2 update, you're encountering issues where your login fails despite entering the correct password. The recommended fix involves booting into safe mode and either reverting or removing the update. This suggests the update may have caused instability or conflicts. Seeking advice from others who've faced similar problems could help identify a solution.

Have you verified the keyboard language settings? Occasionally Windows alters your keyboard language, causing keys to behave differently than intended. For local accounts, there are methods to remove the password and regain access, which might prevent the need for a full reinstall. I’m not sure if anyone else faces this problem. Personally, I paused all Windows updates for a few weeks just to confirm I wouldn’t encounter this update.

I verified the password using the peek feature, and it matched every time, so the issue isn’t with the keyboard language. A password reset disk might help, but let me know if you'd like to try that.

This appears to be a genuine local account rather than a Microsoft one. It would effectively eliminate the password requirement, allowing direct access.

Microsoft insists you create an account, it’s not an error... (they’ll claim it’s a bug, of course)

Essentially you need to interrupt updates often... Eventually someone will bypass it and Microsoft can handle your issue! (Hope that's not the case!)
