I utilized a download tool (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10) to generate a USB flash drive for installing Windows 10 on my desktop. Several reasons motivated this approach, including using my laptop to build the drive. Upon returning home, I connected the USB, accessed the administrator-only executable, and observed Windows 10 downloading. As the installation neared completion, the PC froze, displaying a progress bar with a circle indicating 100%. After restarting, the system booted back up but failed to appear on the screen—only the main monitor showed a blank state with a warning about no input detected. I waited briefly before powering off and restarting, only for the computer to resume with no display and the central monitor reporting an empty status. Inspecting the side panel revealed no issues, prompting another attempt. The motherboard featured XMP settings and a MemOK button; toggling XMP off and pressing MemOK produced a screen. This time, the display reconnected, revealing it was reverting to an older Windows version. Logging into the locked screen allowed access to Windows 8.1, which took unusually long. After entering, I encountered a black screen with a popup explaining the failure of Windows 10 and a timestamp. A link led to Chrome, but further troubleshooting resulted in a blank desktop and taskbar, accessible only via control + alt + delete. I plan to restart the computer to investigate potential fixes, though I’m sharing this update in case others encounter similar problems. **After reboot, everything functioned normally.** Thanks! (Sorry, time constraints made it hard to elaborate.)
