I changed the BIOS on my Asus ROG Strix X570-E gaming board from 4303 to 5003. After the update, the system keeps restarting with a continuous LED firmware update for several seconds. I’ve been struggling to resolve this for five days now. I’ve cleared the CMOS, tried different BIOS versions, and unplugged the board completely. The only hint is my Q-LED flashes code 98 before it switched to code b4. I can still access the BIOS by making the board think something has changed physically. This problem with Asus motherboards is well documented. The system will start up after leaving a message for over 45 minutes. You can't resolve it by installing an older BIOS file since the firmware resides on a separate chip and may verify its version before applying changes. Once companies began embedding RGB software into BIOS updates, this issue likely arose. A possible workaround is to power off the PC, unplug it, and leave it untouched for several hours (8+). Although it might seem odd, some users report it works.
