During my final sessions with LOL, my settings worked perfectly even at the top level. Now I’m seeing major performance drops even after reducing the settings, but nothing improves.

It could be useful to defrag your hard drive and perform some maintenance. Review the game settings as they often include options for cleanup and refreshing under the cog menu. Besides, there are several online videos that may assist; you might need to rename files to get things back on track.
