I've been looking for roughly half an hour and haven't found any Gigabytes pages with the newest BIOS info for your Z370 Aorus Ultra Gaming (rev. 1.0). You mentioned wanting to install a 9700kf but are on version F4, needing at least F12. Someone can help explain how Gigabyte handles their flash updates.

Visit the official site for the model, open the first link, Support, Downloads, BIOS. It works similarly for most products.

I searched thoroughly for this - thank you for your help, you're an amazing expert. All the links kept pointing to audio drivers and compatibility details. Update: Would it be better to choose the newest version or stick with the earliest 9th-gen compatibility?

I would opt for the most recent options.
