Hey team, I'm looking for some guidance. My Asus UX535Li is now running Windows 11 22H2, but audio is completely broken—both speakers and the 3.55mm headphone jack don’t work. I've tried many fixes so far without success. When I click Test in the Sound control panel, I get an error saying "Failed to play test tone." I've checked the registry with sfc /scannow, uninstalled and reinstalled Realtek drivers from Asus, changed audio settings, disabled enhancements, and even rolled back part of the update. Windows updates are up-to-date, and I've restarted the system multiple times. The issue seems to be specific to my laptop. It's possible it's environment-dependent. Any suggestions? Also, I noticed the same problem on my PC after a similar update—could it be related to the hardware or setup?

Confirmed the sound device is set as default in Windows. Verified driver status with Iobit Driver booster.

It seems version 11 has been experiencing audio problems since its launch, and a resolution is expected later this autumn.

Apologies for the slow response. I was counting on it working, but unfortunately it didn’t. It appears unrelated to the driver issue. Possible problems with audio in Windows might include:
- Audio output not functioning properly
- Volume control malfunctions
- Background apps interfering with sound settings
- Driver conflicts affecting playback
- Corrupted system files related to media
Let me know if you need further help!

I successfully undid the latest update via Settings, and everything is functioning properly now. Odd, right?
