It’s strange how Ubisoft consistently releases updates that seem to improve only certain aspects while neglecting others. Check out the screenshots—Far Cry 3 feels a bit more polished without the usual flaws, whereas FC5 relies heavily on it. The technical issues with TAA in this game are noticeable, especially making grass appear blurry. Some drivers might help with third-party TAA fixes, but even an R9 390 struggles compared to older models like FC4. This pattern also shows up in Watch Dogs 2.

Farcry 5 appears more appealing in those images. I admit, I don’t notice all the sharp, rough edges you mentioned.

Well, I play using AA and the game looks fine. And by fine I mean AMAZING, even on medium with textures on low, it is a beautiful game. Never tested without AA though.

I have a reshade preset I use with TAA for blur removal. Here’s how to move the files: copy everything from the TAA Sharpening folder into your Far Cry 5 directory where the .exe is. In SweetFX_settings.txt, locate lumarsharpen and tweak it slightly up or down. Also verify that resolution scale is set to 1 in graphics settings.
