You stopped playing BF4 a few months ago. The updates last year made a big difference, especially for player movement. It wasn’t about excusing the game, but it’s clear now that fixing such a long-standing issue is unfair. For Hardline, it brings back memories of debates over what should have been DLC instead of a full release. I haven’t bought it, and I remember disliking its mechanics back then. The new content in BF4 feels quite different from the original series.

I've been playing Battlefield since 1942 and was part of some elite teams. Battlefield 4 was still in its early days, and it's hard to say what fixed the problems. Movement changes helped a bit, but other issues remained. Many top players left for CS:GO long ago.

I didn't inquire about your playtime for the series; I wanted to know when you ceased playing BF4. The gap is quite noticeable. Plus, I seldom, if at all, face hit detection problems now. "Top players"... haha

I stopped competing years ago. I still play occasionally. It's hard to see, but as a comp player I'm always aware of it. It's really bad. Yes, the best players. Those who truly understand what hit detection is.

In February, the silly U.S. release date format... I thought it was March 2nd. Actually, I’m not planning to buy the premium for BF4 right now.

Support the view that BF4 faced significant problems, with many still experiencing issues such as poor trade execution, laggy performance, and delayed fixes. The delay in improving BF4 compared to BF3 was a major disappointment, especially since we expected better from a game of similar scope. It was a turning point for many players. BF4 should have been a refined version of BF3 with stronger competition features, better hit detection, more balanced maps, and improved weapons. However, the lack of meaningful updates left fans frustrated. Hardcore supporters should boycott the game to demonstrate that EA’s mistakes impact both revenue and credibility.

You should still get premium for BF4, Well worth it, they're releasing one last piece of DLC too. The DLC is meant to be chosen by the community too.

It's 25 quid and I’d prefer to focus more on that. If hardline is accessible on PC, I’ll cut down my time in BF4 significantly. I’m just a bit disappointed I didn’t try BF4 sooner—I only had it for a month.

I'm excited about it. I previously tested the original beta for Hardline last year.
