This seems more of a hassle than a real issue, but if you could shed some light on what’s happening would be great. I just bought a 5800x3d for a really good price on eBay to swap in for a 3600. It should arrive today. After lunch, I went through my BIOS and remembered hearing about EZ Flash 3 which lets you update directly from the internet inside UEFI. I tried using it, but wasn’t given that choice. Instead of picking the file from a folder on one of my SSDs, I downloaded the update, extracted it, and brought it back to UEFI. But when I try to apply it, it says it can’t read the file… odd. Checking the motherboard manual, it says you should be able to update via the internet using Asus’s AI software. Just open it and you’ll see no update option. Now I’m stuck—either find another drive or buy a new USB stick just to update my BIOS. It’s not too big of a deal, but it’s frustrating. Even the manual says I should be able to do it in those two ways. What happened? Did Asus remove that capability? It’s really annoying and makes things more complicated.

An internet BIOS update is generally not advised.

This appears to be a confusing component; it doesn't seem like a standard recommendation. Could you clarify what you're looking for?
