Hey everyone! I'm really looking forward to finally setting up HoloISO on a PC with an AMD GPU. But I've encountered some strange problems. Before I go any further, yes, I've looked into my reported issues. Here are the details: https://github.com/HoloISO/holoiso/issues/441 and https://github.com/HoloISO/holoiso/issues/800. Recently, I upgraded my brother's old prebuilt ASUS G20 to an i7 4790 with an RX 5500X. The HoloISO installation went smoothly, and game mode functions correctly. However, after a system update and restart, it keeps showing another update prompt repeatedly. When switching to desktop mode and trying to update HoloISO via the package manager, it fails and stays on the "updates" tab. I haven't found much help there either. https://github.com/HoloISO/holoiso/issues/801 is another point of concern. The most disruptive part is when I exit desktop mode back to game mode—my screen goes black and the system freezes, even after a hard reboot. I've tested this several times and had to reinstall HoloISO each time. It seems these issues might be linked to updates. I've also tried running games from Steam, which work fine, but I really want to turn this machine into an emulation powerhouse. However, if going into desktop mode crashes my OS, it's a dealbreaker. If anyone has experience with any of these problems or can assist, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

I realized I missed this earlier. I switched the CSM to enabled in UEFI mode after checking the bios. Previously it was set to legacy, but now switching from game mode to desktop is smooth. A win is a win!

I've observed that my in-game resolution doesn't align with my external monitor (1080p). When I unplugged the monitor, the HoloISO crashed and restarted. I came across this update package link: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/holo-gs-auto-update. Could you assist me with installation?

I checked the black screen problem after fixing it on startup, cleared all BIOS settings, and reconfigured everything. Still nothing happened. It seems like the system might be checking its installation. No visible changes. I’ll let it run and see how it behaves. Good luck!

last update!!!!! okay, i wasnt able to fix everything but here is my list of "fixes". 1. (OS black screen after reboot/ returning from desktop mode) make sure you have uefi boot enabled. also dont trust the google drive link for holoiso. i used their dedicated link, and it took forever to finish download but it works 10x better! 2.(update loops) ignore it. it wont go away. 3.(HoloISO flatpack update thingys) ignore it. i hope this helps someone down the road
