Thanks for the message. I hope you try them out—I’m guessing yes. Just a quick note about whether updating to the newest BIOS would affect my 2600.

ASUS also suggests installing a particular chipset driver version prior to updating your BIOS—likely the most recent one available at that time, so opting for the latest should be appropriate.

Hello once more, I was attempting to refresh the bios now. I updated the chipset to the newest release, downloaded the AI Suite 3 from ASUS, checked for updates and it indicated no newer versions were available—which is fine, just incorrect. Since my bios version is around six years old and not the most recent, I went the manual route. It provided the latest bios for my motherboard, I ran the rename tool, and tried to apply it, but it returned this error: The model of the BIOS image doesn't match the BIOS ROM currently present.

It seems you probably want to save the BIOS file directly on the drive's root folder, rather than keeping it in a separate directory.

I'm really glad you found the information helpful. Just wanted to let you know how much your patience meant to me. I moved it to the correct path, but I still see the same issue. Your TUF B450M Plus gaming board looks good, and I double-checked the website link you shared. It should work now. Thanks again!

I also checked the bios, took out the ASUS optimizer feature, and reset my RAM settings back to the default 2133MHz without using docp.

It could involve using a USB device such as a flash drive. Does your I/O shield specify a particular USB port for BIOS updates? The manual doesn't, but the shield might. If not, attempt to install the BIOS directly from the BIOS interface. The BIOS supports internet updates if needed, though the manual emphasizes USB. This is likely due to BIOS constraints, which may also affect AI Suite. I’m uncertain about the tool’s stability, so updating via BIOS directly could be safest.

The IO shield is essential for your system; you’ll need to consult the manual for guidance. For preparation, ensure the PC is powered down and unplugged before handling components.

I found it, it seems to be any port.
