Sure, I can help with that. You’ll likely just need to install the latest BIOS on the motherboard itself after purchasing it. Once the system boots up, you can follow the manufacturer’s instructions to apply the update for 3rd generation Ryzen support. No additional hardware is required beyond the motherboard and a compatible power supply.

For BIOS versions before the third generation, an older 2nd or 1st generation processor is required to carry out the update. This device does not allow BIOS Flashback functionality.

Check the manufacturer's website or support page for the latest BIOS updates. You can also look at recent reviews or forums discussing 3rd generation Ryzen systems.

It varies, depends on whether you already have an older AMD chip or are moving from Intel. If your board was made recently, it should include the newest BIOS and support updates for the 3rd generation. For older boards, you’ll need a compatible AMD CPU to boot into the latest BIOS, or you can take the board to a repair shop for installation. I faced a similar issue when purchasing an X470 Pro from ASUS—it came with a BIOS that worked with the 3rd gen, so I just updated it afterward.
