The CSGO subreddit is quite popular, so I thought it was the right place to share my experience. Before the update, my R9 280 consistently achieved stable 200-300 FPS across most maps. After the update, I’m seeing 200-70 FPS with frequent drops. My current settings are already low. I’m playing in 4:3 at 1280x960 with all extra features turned off. I also use launch options like -high, -nojoy, Novid, tickrate 128, threads 8, plus cl_forcepreload, freq 75, and fps_max 300. Any CSGO players here facing this issue?

It's a common issue. When Valve releases an update, unexpected glitches can occur. I experienced multiple crashes during a recent match, and it seems similar problems have appeared before—like the VGA driver crash earlier. This update appears to be problematic overall.

They mentioned seeing a lot of issues with AMD products, but it didn’t affect me.

It's just Valve trying to do their thing. They struggle with really good texture work.

Many users with AMD systems inquire about this. It doesn’t affect my GTX 760. However, when playing surfing games, some servers perform poorly and cause low frame rates.
