Someone else is experiencing the same issue. It appears to be a problem in AC Unity and Rogue, though disabling it might be an alternative solution. You seem to prefer it and are hoping for a fix in those two games.

The issue might occur if you're using a windowed mode instead of full screen. You should verify both your game settings and your operating system settings. This problem only appears when the game runs in Windows mode and you haven't played for 5 minutes.

The game is currently using fullscreen mode. You adjusted the display settings before confirming it was in fullscreen. The specific OS settings you're referring to would depend on your operating system configuration.

The power configuration options. Have you verified your operating system is current? Navigate to settings, then adjust PC Settings, choose Update and Recovery, select Windows Update. Click Check Now—if updates are available, download and install them. Restart your computer if necessary. On the PC menu, go to Devices and turn off the slide show feature. Choose Power and Sleep settings and review your usage times; they might be set to enter a low-power state every minute to conserve energy.
