I found this video quite compelling and logical, though I was initially doubtful until the release of tens of thousands. It seems to align with his points as he discusses. What are your thoughts on it?

With a free operating system, you own the product. Firms such as Apple bill you for the gadget to fund the services they provide through their devices. (details covered in the video)

It's better to settle the debt than let Windows add ads and spyware to its system.

When releasing software infrequently but charging what many consider "expensive," you face several choices: offer support services like updates and access to official repositories (as Red Hat does), transform into a hardware company and challenge competitors, introduce minor microtransactions, create a store environment, or rely on ads and unnecessary features. I’d agree that beyond games, conventional software models are increasingly ineffective.

Windows 10 works almost perfectly on its own for free, though some customization features are unavailable unless you click the right menu option. A noticeable watermark appears in the lower right corner, and Microsoft continues to earn revenue from these unactivated versions through the data they collect.

I believe what I mentioned went past your expectations. No Linux alternative can match MacOS’s presence in desktop and laptop markets. It lacks infrastructure and services that users seek. It works well for those who prefer working with MS or exploring command-line tools, but most folks have more pressing tasks.
