You might have accidentally activated a Win10 shortcut or hotkey. This causes your pinned apps to disappear, shifting focus away from what you're currently viewing. Check your pinned apps and see if the taskbar changes when using VideoPad—some applications behave similarly. There could be a hotkey you triggered unintentionally. To disable it, refer to your system settings or search for the relevant shortcut in your application menu.

Your decision is quite minimal, with only a couple of pinned apps displayed. Are you expecting a different size like 1366x768?

I believe the original size was 1280x720. I'm capturing vintage films and testing lower resolutions to check for graininess and blotchiness in specific scenes. At 4K, some files include a reduced resolution in the upper left corner. I didn't expect this to impact my taskbar. Updated February 20, 2023 by An0maly_76 Revised

I realized Roku and Plex didn't share the same display issues. My GPU seemed to be failing, but recordings worked fine on both platforms. A recent Windows update disabled HDR, which was causing blurriness. Microsoft's changes affected what I wanted on and off, so I had to manually set the display type to "HD-TV." Things have improved significantly, eliminating the need to adjust resolutions during recording. Could these adjustments be linked to Handbrake's behavior? In short, it felt like viewing thermal images in various plaid colors, each with its own QR code pattern. Updated February 20, 2023 by An0maly_76 Revised, more info
