hello everyone, i'm facing some unusual vsync problems. i suspect it might be related to my gpu setup, though i'm not entirely sure. my hardware includes an asus p5q motherboard, a core 2 quad q9550 cpu, 6gb ram, and two radeon hd 6670 graphics cards. the system runs on anantergos based distro with xfce desktop, and it works on kde, gnome, and pantheon too. i have three monitors—one at 1080p via dvi, and two 1440x900 displays connected to the hd 6450. two of the 1440x900s are plugged into the hd 6670, one into the hd 6450. when i enable the higher-resolution displays, the issue appears only on the top portion of my main screen, starting from the chrome address bar area. additionally, a flashing and disappearing cursor shows up in that spot. i searched online for two hours last night without success, and i've tried several fixes: changing gpu drivers, using different port connections, adding another gpu (geforce 8500gt), but the whole machine became unstable afterward.

Removed that number.
Shortened the phrase.
Rephrased for clarity.

the limitation is due to hardware constraints of the 6670 model.

It seems like you're experiencing some problems, but you're suggesting that two isn't sufficient. You mentioned having three, which is more than enough.

I'd test it just to check the outcome. Sli and crossfire don't perform as well with multiple GPUs in Linux. If the problem continues, try swapping out the other card and observe the changes.
