In certain of my games, not all areas display clear detail, but some regions show this unusual film-like grain. It tends to appear when I use a uniform color on the screen—like the blue sky in Fortnite, the white snow in Gears 5, or the sand in AC: Origins. This effect feels odd and gives a slightly pixelated, sparkly look. It’s not severe, but it shares that same texture. I believe it only shows up when one color stands out strongly on my screen. I checked my Nvidia settings, but I’m not sure what they point to. Sorry if this sounds confusing—I’m trying to understand what might be causing it. As I mentioned earlier, it seems to happen mainly with those dominant colors. I’m using a 2060, i5 10400f, 16GB RAM, 1440p display at 144Hz, all drivers updated, Windows current, no background apps running, temperatures normal. I’m not sure what’s behind it. It wasn’t immediately obvious, and it doesn’t always appear. I don’t have photos ready to share, but I’d appreciate any insights someone might have. Could it be related to unnecessary software or a GPU problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

The monitor once had a CRT companion that passed away, and it continues to act as a tribute to them.
