I purchased these titles during a sale on Epic, and regardless of compatibility settings, fullscreen tweaks, or GPU drivers, the game consistently displays a frozen manual on screen while it runs or shows an unusual visual (refer to the attached clip). I also recently purchased this game on Steam, but I'm experiencing the same issue you mentioned. I attempted to verify the file integrity, but it isn't working.
Before starting, this update works with all Radeon models supported by the game. I've tested it on Radeon RX 400 and RX 500 series. Some users say it also functions with newer models like RX 6800 XT. The process is fast and straightforward, but it requires at least some Windows experience. You only need to open the Windows registry (regedit.exe) to adjust certain game profile settings in the Radeon driver. If you're unfamiliar with regedit.exe, consider watching a YouTube tutorial. If you're still unsure, it might be better to avoid this and try other options, as the error likely persists due to a driver issue. This fix is specific to Wolfenstein The Old Blood and won't impact other games or programs. Removing the driver will delete these changes from the registry (remember to restore defaults if updates occur).
For low FPS on AMD Radeon, a driver bug can cause poor performance even with hardware that meets requirements. To resolve this, edit the Windows registry:
1. Launch the Windows registry editor (regedit.exe).
2. Navigate to `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000\UMD`.
3. If the "UMD" folder isn't present, look for a similar one like "0001".
4. Change the value of "CatalystAI" from "31" to "30" (simpler to type).
