Just for the new Alienware 2725DF, I was shocked by a long and three short beeps. I ran all the standard checks—swapped RAM, used the built-in GPU—but the problem persisted. I ordered a replacement motherboard, but it was still 50/50 or CPU. The motherboard swap didn’t help. I went for a different CPU, but it wasn’t delivered yet. I tried another DP cable and it worked! That was a relief. I turned everything off, decided to test again just in case the port is faulty, and switched the cable to a different slot. The issue returned. Then I realized I was turning off the monitor each time, which made it easier to reproduce the problem. Now I can fully recreate it: turn off the monitor, VGA error, then back on. Booting again! My Ryzen 5 7600 GB RAM 2GB, Gigabyte B650 gaming 7800XT, AW2725DF. I hope someone adds a BIOS setting to prevent this, because it’s frustrating. 😅

Review the board for any GPU update concerning GPU compatibility. It seems the GPU isn't agreeing to connect with the board when the monitor isn't attached, which appears to be a straightforward issue.

However, the problem persists across two distinct motherboards from various manufacturers. It doesn’t appear to be a motherboard-related issue. Since all my other three monitors had the auto-in feature enabled, I didn’t notice anything unusual!

I verified the latest BIOS updates for those boards concerning GPU compatibility. It’s a straightforward diagnostic process, and I’m confirming there aren’t any other simple checks we won’t suggest.
