Just installed the latest Windows 10 update (version 1709). Every time I restart and log in, it closes the small screen and forces me to press space and re-enter my password. After a couple tries, it works smoothly. There’s no warning or error—just the screen fading back and requiring another confirmation. This is becoming quite frustrating since I’ve never had problems with my Microsoft account before.

Have you checked online for solutions? (Usually helps a lot)

I didn’t locate anything directly connected to it. I checked my Windows files for signs of damage and came up empty. I thought about reaching out to the forums to confirm if others shared similar experiences.

It's not something I've encountered before. You might want to test what you're considering... Restarting Windows has a new feature called "refresh" that updates only the system archives. This could be addressing the issue on your PC. Try searching online, just refresh Windows and it should help. Good luck!

I haven’t tried it yet; I’ll wait until I have time. I wasn’t aware of the refresh option in Windows, which is nice to know!

It's quite quick with an SSD, so feel free to proceed after over 30 minutes. Probably that's the time it takes to swap out Windows files.
