Unusual sticky or oily substance leaking from behind the motherboard.
Hey! I saw a strange greasy residue behind the VRM on my B450-E motherboard. It might be from melted thermal pads, but I’m not sure what else could be causing it. Since your system is running stock settings and everything seems normal, you might want to check the area carefully or clean it gently. If it persists, consider inspecting the components for damage.
I have a h500 setup with two standard NZXT fans—one above the motherboard and another beside it. The fan next to your motherboard is drawing in fresh air, while the top side is expelling it. There are no visible popped caps, and I’m hoping that’s the situation.
It's hard to tell if capacitors are leaking without a clear view of the motherboard. I suggest placing the fan at the top and back for exhaust and adding two more 120 or 140mm fans on the front for air intake.
