I thought it was just from high load, but it often happens when I interact with UI elements in games—like opening menus or inventories. When I play Baulders Gate 3 and hover over certain items in the inventory, the FPS drops, CPU and GPU usage decrease, and the PSU starts to make noise. The tooltips disappear when I stop hovering, then FPS spikes again while usage returns to normal. The strange part is that it only happens with specific item tooltips; sometimes nothing happens at all. The FPS drop seems minimal, but it’s noticeable enough to affect performance. I’m wondering if a sudden spike in power consumption could be the reason, or if there’s something else going on with the PSU itself. I could provide screenshots of resource usage, but it might not help much. Any explanation you can give would be really useful—I’d also appreciate if you could try to understand this behavior better.
